Are we Still in the U.S. or in Some Malignant Alternate Universe?

It has been almost four years since Donald J. Trump “won” the 2016 election. This will always have a shameful asterisk next to it because Trump relied on foreign interference to “win.”

Fast-forward to 2020 and the biggest story of this year: COVID-19, 200,000+ deaths, a shattered economy, closed schools and people (some of them) wearing masks, social distancing, washing their hands and going out only when necessary. If they have compromised immune systems, they don’t go out at all.
